Also make sure you never tell anyone to directly buy a product, you are simply recommending the product. The more helpful you are and the more you make quality recommendations, the more likely your web visitors will come back for your expertise.

In that case, it may be best to keep the fact that you're working from home out of the conversation completely. Give your child a nonverbal "Do not disturb" when you need quiet time. Perhaps you could wear a tiara when you're on the phone to signify that kids are not allowed to make noise or interrupt -- unless there's an emergency. If you have an office door, tie a red ribbon on it when you're not to be bothered. This tactic is best for older kids; toddlers won't understand that they can't always have your undivided attention.

An important step is to get out and talk to prospective publishers and business partners. Do they participate in affiliate programs already? What has the yield been in terms of performance? What are the typical revshares that ad networks are taking? What are typical conversion rates? What would be the incentive for publishers and business partners to promote your products and services?

The web became a place where people could find information, news, products, opinions, inspiration, data. Terms like e-commerce, website traffic and banner ads emerged. As the world increasingly decided to spend their time and money online, marketers began inventing ways to leverage this communication channel, and opportunities for website owners to partner began. Content creators conceptualized ways to monetize their sites – ways to get paid for the exposure they could give merchants to their site visitors. Merchants found ways to reach new audiences and pay only when they converted.
This is a really good list to get some ideas flowing on what to look for. Unfortunately, most of the suggested companies on this list do not hire or cover my city. Are there alternative companies to things like TaskRabbit and StitchFix that aren’t only just in major cities? Uber and Lyft would be cool but I don’t see how you can work from home while doing that. Plus, I wouldn’t want strangers sitting next to and touching my baby in her car seat. And which tutoring sites don’t require a 4-year teaching degree? I see that most of them do.

Email blasts are at times annoying to consumers but, there are ways increase open rates and avoid the spam filter by providing value in the emails such as informative newsletters, offer discounts and updates. In the long run, this strategy has “double benefit,” because not only are you promoting a brand but also creating an extensive list of clients that possible competitors won’t have.
The flip side of that being too broad is the way we talk about digital commerce, we really are trying to limit it and delineate away from e-commerce or physical products by talking about products and services that literally exist online. They’re marketed, sold, delivered, supported–everything is basically a digital-environment transaction. There’s a range here of stuff that qualifies as that.

I’ll admit that I could send you to Amazon to read a book on instructional design if you just want to make a course. That doesn’t mean anyone’s going to buy it.
