When I was starting my first business, I was wondering if entrepreneurs used any tools to make their life better. Despite having no experience, I was convinced that they had some magic tools that could boost their productivity and make their ventures easier. After a while, I realised there is nothing magical to them but they can make your work easier and increase your productivity. For that reason, I’m quite happy to share those with you. Some of them are obvious, some are less known.
Believe it or not, the skills behind digital entrepreneurship can be learned and developed as you grow in your career. Sure, risk-taking and uncertainty doesn’t come easily to most of us but technology has recently dramatically lowered the difficulty of assessing a good business idea and gradually building your customers without taking on huge amounts of risky debt. Many employees are also required to manage innovation and become intrapreneurs who behave like an entrepreneur within a large organization.
Do you have zero interest in an expensive mountain bike the company you are an affiliate of sells? Well, you probably don’t want to feature it on your blog, as it is extremely difficult to persuade readers (or anyone for that matter) that they should buy something you wouldn’t be caught spending a single penny on. When you are passionate about a product or–at the very least–interested in learning more about it, this will come through to your readers, engage them and better coax them to buy
The internet, however, was a different story entirely. It ranks alongside the automobile in terms of impact on the way we live, work and communicate. With the outlandish success of companies like Amazon and eBay, came the growing realisation that ordinary people had access to customers from all over the world. A global market of at least 3.2 billion people at your fingertips, from the comfort of your living room. Internet users started doing business in their pyjamas, and they – frankly – loved it.

Despite its older origins, email marketing is still a viable source of affiliate marketing income. Some affiliates have email lists they can use to promote the seller’s products. Others may leverage email newsletters that include hyperlinks to products, earning a commission after the consumer purchases the product. Another method is for the affiliate to cultivate email lists over time. They use their various campaigns to collect emails en masse, then send out emails regarding the products they are promoting.
Collaborative Environment: A collaborative environment can be set up between the organization, the technology service provider, and the digital agencies to optimize effort, resource sharing, reusability and communications. Additionally, organizations are inviting their customers to help them better understand how to service them. This source of data is called User Generated Content. Much of this is acquired via company websites where the organization invites people to share ideas that are then evaluated by other users of the site. The most popular ideas are evaluated and implemented in some form. Using this method of acquiring data and developing new products can foster the organizations relationship with their customer as well as spawn ideas that would otherwise be overlooked. UGC is low-cost advertising as it is directly from the consumers and can save advertising costs for the organisation.

In 2016, Google’s AlphaGo AI beat a skilled human Go player for the first time, a defeat that had long been sought after, and AI assistants like Siri are available on millions of devices. So it comes as no surprise that Adobe’s Sensei promises to make AI tools easily available to web developers around the world, while TheGrid has been offering AI-based web designs since 2014. As AI and machine learning continue to advance, we’ll start to see them make their way into webdesign in other, more advanced ways.

This agreement is usually based on the number of people the affiliate sends to the merchant's site or the number of people they send who buy something or perform some other action.
