But the problem is that this information has no end. I could scroll through the internet for decades and would still find content that seems awesome and really necessary.

During my time in Chile, I was inspired by the book The Startup of You by LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman and Ben Casnocha. The book basically argues that to succeed in a rapidly changing world and fiercely competitive global economy we all need to develop entrepreneurial traits and treat our careers like a startup. I think this is excellent advice as the new career trajectory seems to include a mix of salaried employment and project-based contract work.
To be clear, I recognize that a great many working dads are doing a terrific job both on the home front and in their professional lives. My concern is that these standouts often aren’t visible to their colleagues; they intentionally or inadvertently let their work as parents fly under the radar. Dads need to be open and honest about family responsibilities to change perceptions in the workplace.
My own work-from-home career started when I was already in the house on maternity leave. My steady job disappeared while I was away and a little extra money earned here and there while my son slept built up slowly into a profitable business. I now find myself working from home full time, sometimes in my pyjamas, while my son is at preschool or being cared for by others, and let me tell you, while it has some benefits, working from home isn’t the panacea I thought it would be. For one thing, WFH mom guilt is every bit as insidious as working mom guilt.

The positive was you get paid, the challenge was not frequently and sometimes needed to wait a month for payment to be transferred to the paypal account. Then I became and infant massage teacher and love this. REDTENTSALE is my Ebay store, I sell so many various items I find from wholesellers and it’s nice, I do this when the kids are asleep; anyone can… very manageable and nice “but light” income.
